🛵 Exploring Udaipur on Two Wheels
o explore all places to visit in Udaipur – weekend 2 days trip, I rented a scooty. You’ll find rental shops across Udaipur offering two-wheelers for ₹300–₹500 per day. It’s the best way to explore the city and nearby hidden spots like hills and lakes.
🌄 Day 1 Itinerary – Hills, Lakes & Scenic Viewpoints
For the first day, I focused on lesser-known natural gems before ending the day at Udaipur’s iconic lakeside.
. 🧭 1. Badi Lake and Bahubali Hills
Location- Both are located about 15 Km away from Udaipur
One of the best offbeat places to visit in Udaipur – weekend 2 days trip is Badi Lake, also called Bahubali Lake. It’s calm, uncrowded, and perfect for nature lovers. From here, a short hike leads to Bahubali Hills, which gives a breathtaking panoramic view of the lake and surrounding Aravalli ranges.
Historical Note: Badi Lake was built in the 17th century by Maharana Raj Singh I to fight a devastating famine.
This spot is especially popular among vloggers and Instagrammers — and yes, I covered it in my YouTube vlog on Rajasthan ka Raahi.
How is tracking on Bahubali hills– Tracking on Bahubali hills is not so hard. There is only 10/- INR fees for tracking you can easily go there for view.

⛰️ 2. Raita Hills- Udaipur
Location- It is also about 15-20 Km away from udaipur. The way is very beautiful, you can enjoy green hills view here.
A lesser-known but stunning place, Raita Hills offers a raw, natural vibe with sweeping views. It’s not in typical tourist lists but is perfect if you’re looking for peace and adventure on your weekend 2 days trip in Udaipur.

🌅 3. Evening at Lake Pichola
n the evening, I headed to the iconic Lake Pichola — one of the top-rated places to visit in Udaipur – weekend 2 days trip.
You can enjoy a boat ride to see:
Jag Mandir
Taj Lake Palace (Jag Niwas)
City Palace from the lake
I also visited Ambrai Ghat and Gangaur Ghat, two of the most beautiful viewpoints during sunset.

🏰 Day 2 Itinerary – Royal Palaces and Temples
For the second day, I explored the majestic royal and spiritual side of Udaipur.
👑 4. City Palace Udaipur
The City Palace is a must-see when listing down places to visit in Udaipur – weekend 2 days trip.
Built in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, this massive palace complex combines Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. It includes courtyards, balconies, museums, and galleries.
Make sure to see:
The grand Durbar Hall
Crystal Gallery
Lake view terraces
It takes about 2–3 hours to explore, and I highly recommend hiring a local guide or audio tour.
Note- Ticket cost of city palace is 50+400 INR for adult.

🛕 5. Eklingji Temple
Next, I visited the Eklingji Temple, located about 22 km from the city. It’s an ancient temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Founded in the 8th century, this spiritual site has a stunning black marble idol of Eklingji with four faces.
The temple is peaceful, and a must-visit for those who love history and spirituality.
🛕 6. Delwara Jain Temples (Rajasmand)
Nearby, the Delwara Jain Temples in Rajsamand are another hidden architectural gem. It’s only 6 km away from Eklinkji. Their marble detailing is extraordinary and similar in finesse to the famous Dilwara Temples of Mount Abu.
Even though it’s not on every tourist’s list, it definitely deserves a place in your weekend 2 days trip plan.
🌊 7. Fatehsagar Lake – Evening Serenity
To end my journey, I spent the evening at Fatehsagar Lake.
This lake has a vibrant promenade with:
Boating options
Street food
Sunset points
Nehru Garden (accessible by boat)
It’s an ideal spot to relax, reflect on the trip, and enjoy one last glimpse of Udaipur’s charm.
